A billiard ball with an initial speed of v0 = 10 m/s collides with two identical balls whose centers are on a?
line perpendicular to the initial velocity and that are initially incontact with each other. The first ball is aimed directly at the contact point. To goodapproximation the collision between the billiard balls can be viewed as elastic andfriction between the balls as negligible. Find the speeds of all three balls after thecollision.
Chemistry Help please!!! Kinetic energy of a rolling billiard ball...?
The kinetic energy of a rolling billiard ball is given by KE 1 2mv 2. Suppose a 0.17 kg billiard ball is rolling down a pool table with an initial speed of 4.7m s. As it travels, it loses some amount of energy as heat. The ball slows down to 3.7m s and then collides straight on with a second billiard ball of equal mass. The first billiard ball completely stops and the second one rolls away with a velocity of 3.7m s. Assume the first billiard ball is the system. Find for the process w ? Jq ? Jdelta E ? JThanks so much for help
Two billiard balls of equal mass undergo a perfectly elastic head-on collision?
Two billiard balls of equal mass undergo a perfectly elastic head on collision. One ball's initial speed was 2.1 m s. The second's was 4.6 m s in the opposite direction. What will their speeds be after the collision? I can't seem to get the right answer. Please help, thanks
How to program a billiard or mini golf or other game requiring equal & opposite reactions & moving objects?
The question is misleading because I really want to know where to look for answers.I want to make the " games" in Flash so please direct the answers if you have any in that direction BUT any polite answers will be very much welcomed. No RTFM What manual? Is there a manual for this type of question and if there is what is its title? In making games like those mentioned in the question there is an issue of reactions to a " hit" from an object that the user controls. Be it thrusters to control the lander or the putter to control the golf ball or the cue stick & cue balls. Now the user " hits" the object, If they " hit" it off center that should be reflected in the reaction of what ever they hit. Now that object is to travel in a direction and speed that reflects how hard and where it was hit. How it gets real difficult. That object might hit other objects and transfer some of its energy into them and or take a different course because it hit the object. The deeper you go into the problem the more difficult it becomes,I want to know where to look and what to look for in trying to " program" this type of game in Flash. What am I asking for? Is there some function that I am not thinking of that takes rules of physics into account? If I looked for " equal & opposite reaction programing" How would I better phrase it to get relevant answers? How about putting mass and or volume into objects along with angle of travel and speed? What about when they hit other objects ? How to transfer the information to get a proper result back. You can tell that the deeper you go into the game problem the more difficult at least to me it becomes.Where do I look 1st for in terms of equal and opposite reaction type program answers? What do I look for in the text books? Am I phrasing the question wrong? < How would you phrase it?Where would you place this question? Yahoo suggested Math & Physics and I ran with it.
Which is usual to call that game? "pool" or "billiards" in U.S.?
I am Japanese and have a question. I used to play pool, the ball game using sticks, when I was in N.Y. long time ago. I have a question about that game. We call that game billiards in Japan. I am wondering if you use the word billiard in U.S. Can you understand if I say billiards to mean pool?Does the word " billiards" make sense to you?Is it unusual to call that game " billiard" in your country.
Geometry used in billiards (pool) sample problem.?
im writing a report on how geometry is used in playing billiardsI have the essay part down, but i need some ideas on what to do for the sample problem, like would i use an angle problem or would that not be right?thanks so much
17 years old and epic player in 8pool billiards I won first place in my city?
I can basically put any ball in their holes if I'm just concentratedI won first place in my city where there were 254 participants, I haven't lost a game. , I've played since I was 10, could I get somewhere near world class players if I continue playing until I'm like 25 or so?sorry for bad english I'm from europe
Daltons Billiard Ball atomic model?
How do you make the billiard ball atomic model for a certain element? I have to do this for school. My element is beryllium.
